Rabada bowled a delivery which was 154.23 kmph, the fastest in the 2019 edition of the IPL and the second-fastest in the history of IPL. Despite playing 5 matches less than his South African team-mate Imran Tahir, he picked up 25 wickets while the leg-spinner picked up 26 wickets.

Australian fast bowler Pat Cummins rarely played in the IPL, but he made sure he keeps his name in the records books. The speedster, while playing for Mumbai Indians in 2017 bowled the fastest bowler of the tournament, which is 153.56 kmph. It is the fourth-fastest ball bowled in the history of IPL. Cummins had a decent tournament and played a vital role for Mumbai Indians in 2017. He picked up 15 wickets in 12 matches and had an economy of 8.07.
